dc.description.abstractThis study investigates the impacts of the work environment on employee engagement in Indomie Noodles, Nigeria. The work environment constitutes of all tangible and intangible elements within the employee. The work environment consists of opaque management, leadership, welfare and pay. Therefore, the research investigates these in relation to Indomie Nigeria. The study’s objectives were to discover the adherence to standards of the work environment by Indomie, discover the impact of the work environment on employee engagement and to examine the challenges of the work environment at Indomie. The research adopted the qualitative methodology which collected data from the interview of nine staff at Indomie. The research discovered that Indomie Noodles is adhering to standards of the work environment including best practices on health and safety etc. The research also discovered that the work environment was essential to employee engagement thus commitment. The research also discovers that the challenges of the work environment are fierce competition, lack of pension etc. The research thus makes recommendations on how these challenges can be resolved.
