%L go473 %K Adopting Blockchain Technology, United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, United Nations %D 2020 %T Assessing the Possibility of Adopting Blockchain Technology In Achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 In IDP Camps In Nigeria. %I Griffith College %X This research is focused on assessing the possibility of adopting blockchain technology in trying to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2) in IDP camps in Abuja, Nigeria. The research objectives are to ascertain the current system used to manage IDP camps in Nigeria, Review the status of the UN SDG 2 at the IDP camps and explore blockchain technology for adoption in IDP management. A survey was conducted using questionnaires and interviews were conducted as well to gain insight into the research questions from more than one perspective. A total of 100 respondents was gotten from using the questionnaire and a total of seven respondents were interviewed across five IDP camps in Abuja, Nigeria. The study shows that there is complete lack of support from the government and that there a lack of food supply to the camps and also based on the responses gotten from the interviews, the IDP camp environment is suitable for blockchain adoption.The study also discussed some limitations in the study as it would be remarkable if further study could be done on a larger sample size. %A Jessica Biebelemoye Olotu
