The crops provide wage goods for the non-agricultural sector as well as raw materials for the industrial sector. The research study attempts to bring together the different issues in the supply chain management of the crops and the way sustainability is maintained for the farmers in Tamil Nadu. The initial part of the study focuses on the introductory chapter by setting a background analysis for promoting sustainable agricultural development in Tamil Nadu. With the establishment of the research aims and objectives, the significance of the study is being specified. Further, the literature review section of the study identifies the facts about smart farming and various challenges the farmers face in agricultural farming in Tamil Nadu. By evaluating the organic farming and the role of supply chain management in crops in Tamil Nadu, the sustainability of the sector is determined. The research methodology chapter of the study demonstrates the pattern in which the research is being carried out by the researcher. The researcher has applied the application of both the primary and secondary data collection technique and the data analysis is conducted in the form of interview responses that have been obtained from a selected sample size for the research study. The information obtained through the interview questionnaires has helped in developing a discussion on the sustainable agricultural practices in Tamil Nadu.
